Offroad Addiction did a few Force4 upgrades to their 2012 Nissan Navara D40 recently. We think they did a pretty good job.
Shedding some light
A set of Force4 F185 LED driving lights were installed for night time offroading as well as offering a superb on road driving light experience with serious output. They also offer a wide, bright light useful for illuminating ground terrain holes and elevations.
Bringing in the enforcements
Next, an Xrox bull bar was fitted. The Xrox protection bars are Australian manufactured and offer a lighter option with better ramp angle than most fully enclosed, traditional bull bars.
The “winged” design of the Xrox bars allows for fast easy replacement while maintaining strength. Xrox will fit just about any aftermarket winch to 12500lb including those with larger motors which can sometimes be an issue with enclosed bars wit tight internal gussets.
Getting ready to wind up
To finish off, a Nova Pro12500 Electric Winch was installed. This model was chosen as the Nissan Navara is a bit lighter than some of the larger long-wheel base (lwb) full body 4wd’s on the market. The Navara can make good use of the Pro12500’s 50ftpm unloaded line speed and faster gear ratio.
This winch provides superb, low resistance freespool pull out of rope – a perfect match for Caleb who doesn’t enjoy hard work when out wheel’n with his mates. The Pro12500 also comes with larger drum housings and extruded tie bars providing more cable space and a three year electrical and limited lifetime parts warranty.
